OK, NOW I’M A REFEREE. HOW DO I GET GAME ASSIGNMENTS?
You have just finished the referee course and gotten your uniform & equipment or you have just moved to Baton Rouge and want to referee soccer matches. So, how do you get game assignments?
Recreational (Youth and Amateur) and BRSC Premier Games:
Contact local assignor.

Tell him you have your uniform and are ready to work. If an experienced referee, tell the assignor your comfort level and what games you have done in the past. New referees start as assistants and as you are observed on games you advance at your own pace.
If you are already an active member of SRABR: fill out the availability form and return it to the assignor.
Make sure the assignor has your CURRENT email address & telephone number as well as your CURRENT mailing address.
HIGH SCHOOL GAME ASSIGNMENTS
To become a High School soccer official you need to attend the LHSAA Clinic, register with LHSAA ($20), and take the NFHS (National Federation of High Schools) soccer test for referees. Once you have registered with LHSAA you will be asked to submit an availability form to the assignor (Christine Delmar). It is recommended that a HS soccer official be able to work U16 games. If you have any questions, contact Chris Delmar.
