Soccer Referee’s Association
of Baton Rouge will conduct an Entry-level Referee clinic
in February. The clinic will be held in Gonzales, on
the weekend of February 9th.
(February 9 & 10 and one day to be determined)

Entry-level Soccer Referee Clinic

Referee courses will be offered August 3 - August 6,
2007 and August 24 - August 27, 2007.
The Aug 4 - 6 classes will be held in Baton Rouge at
the DOTD
Auditorium/Bluebonnet library.
The Aug 25 weekend classes will be held at a school
in Gonzales.
Interested persons can contact Jim Lavigne at lather@eatel.net
and let him know
which weekend they would like to attend.

United Cup Tournament

The United Cup Tournament will be
on Saturday and Sunday Oct 7 & 8 , 2006. So far, 105 teams
have registered and BRSA is still taking applications UNTIL
Friday Sept 22. This means there will be lots of games.
Let the assignors know your availability for this event.
Remember, we can assign you games around your playing schedule
if necessary.

Safety
A player must not use equipment or wear anything that is dangerous
to himself/herself or another player (including any kind of
jewellery).
Jewellery
All items of jewellery are potentially dangerous. The term “dangerous”
can sometimes be ambiguous and controversial, therefore in order
to
be uniform and consistent any kind of jewellery has to
be forbidden.
Players are not allowed to use tape to cover jewellery.
Taping jewellery
is not adequate protection.
Rings, earrings, leather or rubber bands are not necessary to
play and
the only thing they can bring about is injury.
In order to avoid “last minute” problems, teams should
inform their
players in advance. |

Plan for how the website should change in the near future
1. The first changes to the website will involve High School as
that is the next season up.
2. Those changes should also involve Middle School when applicable.
3. Recreational league information hopefully will back up completely
before the Spring season begins.
4. The SRABR Forum program will be a priority and will change at
least once while the new forum is being installed.
